Makoto Performing Group

Our Story

As the heart and public face of Makoto Taiko, the Makoto Performing Group embodies both musical excellence and dedicated organizational leadership. Composed of passionate members who serve as both seasoned performers and community stewards, this group brings our mission to life—connecting and empowering people of all backgrounds through the practice of taiko.

Driven by our core value of makoto (sincerity, integrity, and altruism), the Performing Group leads with intention—fostering a warm, inclusive environment for the Makoto Taiko members and students while serving as ambassadors to the broader local and global communities. Through dynamic mainstage performances, cultural festivals, educational workshops, and behind-the-scenes mentorship, our performers strive for continuous artistic growth while honoring the cultural heritage of taiko drumming. By acting, practicing, and performing from the heart, the Performing Group seeks to inspire audiences, uplift fellow players, and build lasting connections through every beat of the drum.
